Yoga: An Experiential Science

Vidhya Udare is a Certified Therapeutic Yoga and Certified Meditation Practitioner (350 hrs) from Kaivalyadham, and Bodhi School of Yoga, India (Registered with Yoga Alliance). She is a current student for  Advanced RYT 300 hrs Yoga Teacher Training Certification program. She became passionate about Yoga during her medical training, where she was inspired by a fellow senior physician who combined medicine and Yoga in her practice as a Holistic approach to healing complex conditions. She was very impressed and began to explore the benefits of Yoga from a medical perspective.  Her hunger to gain a deeper perspective led her to Kaivalyadham, one of the oldest Yoga schools where she had the opportunity to learn Traditional Yoga (following Yogic principles and philosophies of Maharishi Patanjali’s Ashtang Yoga) from highly experienced teachers. 

Her focus is to bring Yoga to everyone with a scientific approach, understanding the deep underlying causes of disease. She combines Homeopathy, Functional Medicine, and Yoga in her practice which are based on one common fundamental principle, i.e. “Consider the individual as a whole on physical, physiological, mental, intellectual and spiritual level.” She continues to learn from various teachers and her special interest is to incorporate the immense advantages Yoga can offer beyond physical, mental, and emotional well-being, because "Yoga Chikitsa is the dynamic state of physical and mental ease, coupled with spiritual well-being”.
